Smithy, also an accomplished musician, plays electric and double bass and is a very versatile singer and performer.

Martin Murray - fiddle, mandolin and banjo - has played with many of the finest musicians in Ireland including members of De Danann, The Chieftains and he also toured extensively with the late Liam Clancy. In adding the fiddle to the sound of The Bards. Martin has brought a new dimension to the group, while standing in for Christy who is taking some time off for a while.
